Thanks for all your feedbac. Sounds like a man thing. Do i really appreciate what i am wearing?
Do you? Try and put the A/T away for a few weeks and see if you come back to it or you can live without it. Probably only way to tell.

I’ve said it before and darnit I’ll say it again: this is a cursed, irrational, dangerous hobby. At least for many of us, satisfaction is illusory, fleeting, downright impossible. What we’re chasing isn’t the ultimate watch—it’s that new watch smell that only lasts a while and then fades. Do what you have to do. Do not seek validation or approval from anyone else. We cannot help you make decisions. We too are damned.

I saw a video the other day featuring someone who was getting bored with his 5205 Annual Calendar. A 5205! If you can’t feel satisfied with a watch like that, the world must be a dull place indeed.

Be a man, trade up for a Speedmaster, with hesalite, then mow the lawn with it.

2500?? Wtf will not sell for that price. Worth more isn’t it?

do you have original box and papers? Have you had it serviced with receipt?

the model you have is steel on steel and retailed for 7900. But it’s a 2nd gen AT (despite the vertical teak) - you can tell this because the dial says “co-axial” not “master co-axial”. About the only 2nd gen AT to maintain its value is the skyfall.

Yes when i bought it was a full set. Paid $4000USD which I thought was a great deal, and is still in great condition.

didn’t buy the speedy as every other man and his dog seemed to have one, wanted something bit different. There is a couple of niggles with it to,so i hear sharp case, waterproof etc.

The sharp edges are a feature - that’s how you mow the lawn with it 😉

Yah $4000 is a great deal and cosmetically it looks like the watch is still in great condition. Even so, when you want to “get out of” a watch, I think you have to assume you’re going to lose some money (with the exception of a couple of brands, like Rolex). How much you lose depends on whether you sell it to a dealer at wholesale price or try to sell yourself. You might get close to 4000 selling yourself if you’re patient and find the right buyer.

if you keep the AT, I suspect it’s overdue for a service. It’s a beautiful watch. Maybe you’re just bored with it. As someone else suggested, try not wearing it for a few weeks and see if you miss it.

I would wager you paid around market value for second hand Aqua Terra in this configuration. Here is a dealer selling a watch only at what seems like an optimistic price.

Having looked through the sold/completed filters, I found a full set that was listed for a couple hundred more than what you paid, but it said “offer accepted” so…

As discussed in another thread of yours
https://omegaforums.net/threads/show-me-another-one.144811/
Just because it’s not often seen, doesn’t make it highly valuable. Not all watches fully retain or increase in value. Many take a loss.

Edit to add: There are a number of these listed by dealers on C24 (which is not known for its realistic pricing). Some are listed with very optimistic prices and some are listed for marginally more than what you paid for yours. As these don’t appear to be flying off the shelf- if you were to sell yours, I would say it is a very realistic possibility that you will take a loss on what you paid. The only way to really know is to put it up for auction starting at $0.99 and see where it lands.

I would sell, get the Zenith and see how you feel, if you don't like it, you can always sell up and buy another AT.

That could be quite a costly way for the OP to discover they still prefer the AT!
