Hi Everybody,

Is there a way to look up special edition versions of the moonwatch by year only?

I want to buy something that isn't the standard moonwatch to pass down to my boys and I'd like to know what special editions were released in 2015. Is the FOIS from 2015 or earlier?

Now my second son will be born early next year so I guess there should be lots to choose from in 2019 😀

The FOIS is from 2012.

2015 = Snoopy.

Good to know. My son was born in 2012 and I was already looking for a FOIS. Second child is due in September.

In 2015 the Snoopy was indeed released but also the FOIS Sedna Gold. The latter will be easier to find....

You will run into an issue knowing if a particular watch was assembled during the birthyear. If you look for Basel 2015 releases, many probably were not available until 2016. And if you had walked in to an OB in 2015 and picked up a watch, there is a good chance it would have been assembled in 2014 or 2013. The concept of a birthyear watch is noble, but good chance you will be off by a year or two without knowing up.

Just a roundabout way of saying get a nice one for each, and do not sweat the actual year.

Can't afford that right now. Picked up a 52' Seamaster which is my parents' birth year. Need something from 79' for the wife and me. This will be a long pursuit. Kid coming in a few months is going to hurt cashflow.
