This week is my birthday, which I'd like to mark by sharing something back with this community. Below is my updated montage of Speedmaster Moonwatches. The last one I posted was 2 years ago: https://omegaforums.net/threads/happy-holidays-moonwatch-montage.50483/ I’m not saying they got the idea from me or anything, but that was before Omega published their Speedmaster 60th Anniversary poster… Last time I made both a chronological and a randomized version, but since the chronological was more popular, I’ve updated just that one. I’ve added a name/year under each model and did away with the separate look-up table. Also added some fine print at the bottom to explain a couple things that may cause questions. In short these are dial-side differentiable Moonwatches with 321/861 lineage movements in either Mooncases or straight lug cases. No automatics, no Mark IIs or Vs, and no electronic models. No models that look the same from the dial side such as the Apollo 20, 25, 30th, or Last Man on the Moon. A single model represents the Missions series. Images are primarily from Omega and auctions, but there may be a couple in there from other sources, like I think there are still two from MWO. Clicking on it will show you the highest resolution version I’m offering. Any higher, and some of the original images lose too much fidelity. It’s my small gift to the community. I'm not selling printed versions but I think they should print nicely on C, or possibly even D size paper. Also makes good wrapping paper for your watch gifts or sales…heck non-watch gifts too…the recipient will instantly know who it’s from! YaY and enjoy! v2 edits: Gemini IV and Japan Racing dates, Schirra spelling corrections.
Awesome! There is this website called Canvas On Demand (https://www.canvasondemand.com/) where you just upload the picture and it will print it on canvas (my wife found this website and our house looks like a fuc**** canvas showroom)/ But might make for some good office artwork... It gets cut off just a LITTLE bit but it is a 20x24 and would only be $35. The next size up (20x30) goes up ti $118! so while not totally outrageous...a pretty big jump. And actually, you would need to order the 30x40 at $183 to make it truly fit.
If anyone would like to donate an example of each, for my collection, I’ll make a real life montage...
Very cool and thanks very much! I have always wanted one of the 60th anniversary posters but the Omega AD never gave me one. This will do
