Stumbled across that by chance yesterday, it's a repeat and was discussed on here a little while back, the concensus was the 30-40k estimate might have been a touch optimistic.

Seem to recall it was auctioned shortly after the show for about £25k.

Still a nice return on a £45 outlay.

 

I believe it was £31,000 if this is the same watch. Looks like it.

Story sounds like it, is that £31k including fees and comission? As I'm sure I heard it was £25k, not important otherwise.

 

There was an Ultraman that appeared on a Craigslist style website in Berlin that ended up going for around £25k, so maybe you’re thinking of that one. There’s a thread in it here somewhere.
