Both pieces shown here are well worn and have lost most of their charm (I mean mainly the beautiful chamfers the pristine examples have).
The example from the road show has a sub par dial condition and a wrong crown (originals are hard to find and mostly quite expensive).
The appraisal is bogus... I think a price around 3K is far more rational/reasonable.
I know what I am talking about as I have bought several of these watches in various conditions.

In fact, I think that's the best watch you have in your "modest" collection.
