That's fun to see an Omega. Not sure about that dial, but it's hard to get a clear capture.

Here's another screen grab.

Appraiser -"A retail on this will bring 7000 - 9000 dollars"
Guest - "wow! That's much more than we thought it would be."
Appraiser "It doesn't look like much, does it?"
Guest - "No, it doesn't, no."

lol

Well…, is the appraiser wildly off the mark? I am curious. I like similar shows. The answer might shed some light on wether they give sensational appraisals to increase show ratings.

Both pieces shown here are well worn and have lost most of their charm (I mean mainly the beautiful chamfers the pristine examples have).

The example from the road show has a sub par dial condition and a wrong crown (originals are hard to find and mostly quite expensive).

The appraisal is bogus... I think a price around 3K is far more rational/reasonable.

I know what I am talking about as I have bought several of these watches in various conditions.
Below a near mint example for comparison to show you how a sharp case should look like

As Pam would say: "Holy fυck'n shitsnacks!"
😯😦😧😮😲

I knew you had some very nice examples Erich, but that has to be the cherry on the cake.
In fact, I think that's the best watch you have in your "modest" collection.

If you think you have one better, I'll allow you to post it.

If money was all that counted, for that price they can have mine...

Appraiser - "It doesn't look like much, does it?"

Wrong + wrong. I've written elsewhere about how special this model is: if I had as many excellent examples as Mac does, I would find it hard to breathe properly...
