That said, the Daytona is rated up to 100 m vs 50 m on the Speedy so it wins the category anyway.
Depends on which Speedmaster you are referring to. There are 100m rated versions.

That’s like saying film versus digital, or analog music verses digital. Some of us have both and appreciate that a few companies choose to continue heritage technologies for us to enjoy.
I think the comparison is more like a manual transmission or automatic transmission. Even though the automatic have the technology to out do manuals, some people feel some cars should be nothing but manual.

Considering both of my cars have manual transmissions, you can see where I fall in that camp. I actually had to hunt for a year to find my most recent car in manual since only about 5% were made in manual trans and only from 2017-2019 for that model.

Was waiting for all the Automatic race cars to come out 😂🤣
I did own a quarter mile V8 Ute with a 2 speed ratchet shift power glide gearbox.

(Similar to below)

Having manual cars most of my life, I don’t mind the occasional hire car in automatic.

Having a 4x4 that is manual and even has a second shifter for high and low 4x4 gear is enough of a theft proof as anyone needs nowadays.

Have a few mates with newer 4x4s that are automatic and all the 4x4 operations are push button. (Problem when shit goes south and they can only limp home on 2 wheel drive 🤯)

I would very much like to have a Daytona, panda dial of course. BUT, I am not willing to pay for it and wait however many years it takes to get one. So I have four Speedies. Three new ones this year. And a Tudor I got last Christmas. Daytona ish.
How’s it compare to the speedy size wise? Which speedies before I look you up lol

Just look at the wruw thread. The Tudor makes a 3861 seem like a swatch with the weight and thickness difference..

I love 'em both, just like in watches.

(DCTs with non-nannie programming can be insane; just can't get that mule kick clutch dump experience any other way.)
