This is exactly the new plan--dealers are ordering, and Omega is doing separate launches throughout the year.

The SS Apollo will have gold on the hands and bezel. It might not look so TT--it might be nice.

I bought this one last year and the gold was part of the attraction for me at least, I hope they will use the same bracelet and adjustable clasp.

That’s a good looking watch. I like many have been give the run down of what it looked like in person and have a deposit in. I am nervous but this pic gives me a lot of hope!

I turn 50 on 20 Jul, the day they actually landed on the moon - shame the previous anniversary watches have 21 Jul 69 engraved on the back!
Was going to splash out, but may just get a standard one now.
Thats what I did today

from what I have been able to hear, the limited edition in steel will have the imprint of the man on the moon on the dial at 9 o'clock.

I've got it on good authority that the caseback will have a speck of Neil Armstrongs dandruff from his spacesuit

Only visible in the reflection of light from a full moon?

Yes.
And an autographed poster of Julia Dietze.

I can’t tell if that invokes Godwin’s law or not.

Long overdue! What is going on with Omega this year?

My hunch is that Omega know that what they have produced will knock it out of the park, and the additional wait is all about building interest and speculation.

Yea, but all other brands released their novelties and many of us would run out of budget until Omega does the same.

Exactly, almost feels like they have missed the date and not ready to share information yet. Omega never misses dates, or do they?! LOL

Or wait until Basel is over and all the websites are not cluttered with Basel news forcing any new model to be lost in the noise. When you wait until after there is nothing to compete PR wise with.

actually, Omega released the gold 50th anniversary with not so exciting 3861, just about the same time the basel's. but instead it was a downer for all 321 lovers. possibly the much awaited new 321 may have underwent a back to drawing board reengineering. i do not expect to be100% or exact redo of the old amazing moonwatch. better yet, if aside from undeclared better material used, i will be willing to wait if it is known to be a modern 321 inside an aerodynamic design of a case retaining the shape of 105.003/012.
