Right. Not embargo material of course, but just SOMETHING … 😉
Like what, the weather in Switzerland, color of the walls at the events, pics of the good looking chicks? How will that make you a better informed customer or collector? I'd rather they keep their head down, write their copy with pictures and analysis of the watches, and release all this stuff at 8am Friday Swiss time.
Very annoyed Raynald didn't FEDEX swiss chocolates to every poster here to keep us motivated while we wait. 🤬

You didn't get yours? You must be on Omega's naughty list.

They were delicious by the way.

Might just delete myself off the A11 50th list and buy my own chocolate 😗 ...

This time tomorrow, all being well, the wait will be over and we can expect this thread to double in size!

I'm definitely NOT dropping $10k on a new speedy, but I can't wait to see what it looks like!

Just checking to see if you are aware that the new 3861 based Speedies will still be hand wound. It might make you pause for reflection if you are lusting for an automatic Speed Pro. Your lust will be unfulfilled.
I've read in a few places that there is to be a new "standard" Speedie Pro with coaxial - whether that's true, who knows. I'd very much like one I could hack in any case.

Hello everyone, my name’s Mike, haven’t posted in a long time but I’ve enjoyed reading through the comments. Currently my collection includes a 3572, ST1 and ST2. Excited to see what’s in store with the steel 50th. The predictions are fun to read, and the photoshopped images are pretty cool.

Since Omega introduced the Master Chronometer certification, I wondered if it would ever be used in the moonwatch as a non-special edition. I know the original movement is historic, but it would be cool to have a more accurate, antimagnetic moonwatch that is all steel, not gold like the 50th.

Just a couple days ago, Omega’s IG account had a photo of the original moonwatch with the caption, “the tech can change but don’t mess with the look”. Perhaps an all-steel, manual 3861 non-limited moonwatch is on the horizon? Hopefully, just my thoughts. Best
Exactly what I suspect.

I think the standard SS moonwatch with an updated 3861 movement is inevitable!

But would it be flight-certified by NASA?

I think we're going round in circles here. This was discussed previously I'm sure.

It wouldn't be hard to certify it! Depends of Omega's relationship with NASA right now and what NASA has in mind for future missions!

I also believe it should not be that hard to get the certification from NASA. I think the movement is basically the same except for the escapement and If they use the same case it is basically the same watch already certified.

Yeah, about every couple days. But I'm not sure that's any different than the continusl circular speculation surrounding the bezel, case, caseback, subdials, movement, timing, or any other details about the 50th Anniversary announcements.

Over a 1,000 posts now of speculation.

It's going to be interesting to see tomorrow how close some people got with their guesses.

Not long now. 3-2-1....

I just read through the previous 56 pages and some of us on here are pretty funny. I appreciate the passion for the watch and I am also looking forward to its release. I own several luxury watches, including a Grey Side Meteorite, and I have a deposit down for this one but its not for me.
July 20th 1969 is my brothers actual birthday so this watch means a little different to me. I want him to have this because this is something that he would not buy for himself. As a father of 2 and a police officer he has other priorities in life right now and wouldn’t be able to buy this for himself. Just curious if anyone else in here has a birthday on THAT day?
