Do you think a standard updated movement will be shown next week too or is that going to be later?

The updated movement is the 3861. It has been shown already. I guess, but this is my assumption, it will replace the 1861 sooner or later...

Or at least a similar version without all the bling. Seems silly to waste the gold under a solid caseback.

Case is steel and yellow gold (3N), dial is black, blue, with yellow colour traces (this can refer to printing) with applied markers and lume. Hands are yellow gold (3N). Bezel insert is ceramic and black, but with gold lettering I believe. Sapphire crystals front and back. Back crystal will have an Apollo 11 medallion. Movement is 3861.

Just re-posting Al's summary again as the current valid source of truth for this LE.

There seem to be people who just dive into this thread speculating pure BS without reading previous posts.

For any OF newbies who might need some onboarding: Al (aka Archer) is an experienced Omega authorized watchmaker who has access to the Omega parts database / website.

According to the source it will have that 50th anniversary logo on the seconds sub dial and a moonboot print engraved on the case back with 3861 mvt. 321 will be released later on but platinum version.

I've been watching this thread over the past few weeks and I'll I can say is I really hope the watch lives up to all the hype Omega has created surrounding it.

......a moonboot print engraved on the case back with 3861 mvt.

This could really be attractive if it is done using the same technique Omega used on the case back of the 45th Snoopy Anniversary watch. That said, this would contradict the crystal case back with the Apollo 11 medallion Al mentioned earlier in the thread.

According to the source it will have that 50th anniversary logo on the seconds sub dial...

Sorry if anyone here finds this offensive but the 50th anniversary logo Omega has created belongs no where near an actual watch dial. I find the logo to be lacking any artistic creativity and is poorly executed.

Agreed!
All sorts of earlier speculation about what is on that seconds subdial including an image of the lunar lander.

A little bit off topic: One thought about the 1861 / 3861 calibre discussion... We all know Omega is trying to go (almost) 100% anti-magnetic and the update to the 3861 calibre is possible or even likely

What if the standard Speedy (with the hesalite crystal) stays with the 1861 and therefore will still be «flight-qualified by NASA for all manned space missions».

The Speedy (with the saphire crystal and caseback), that never has been qualified, gets the 3861. Same looks, but upgraded tech.

I wonder what the case will look like being made of "steel and yellow gold"

It's claimed that the "case" will be steel and yellow gold, see below.
