Release date is July...
Did they indicate what year? 馃榿

Given how long it has taken the last couple of years for watches with <3,000 units to fully be delivered, the process could definitely take 4-6 months once the first ones begin to arrive.

Gold bezel on SS confirmed at the expense of my full deposit. $9,750 for SS. Release date is July but given the history it may be delayed by a month or two.
A month or two? I鈥檓 just hoping to get mine this year! I waited 11 months for my DSOTM Apollo 8. Unless they have been working on them to avoid that debacle again.

I had the opportunity to see the 50th Apollo in Zurich at Time to Move. I promised not to post info too early, but since the press release is this month...let鈥檚 have some fun!

My favorite part of the watch, was the bracelet! It is effectively a modern vintage flat link piece. It looked and felt great on the wrist. Oh, and no two -tone on the bracelet. I already told the Omega guys you MUST offer this bracelet for purchase.

The watch itself is a multiple metal design. To call it two-tone would be incorrect (IMO). It鈥檚 very well done I have to admit. The hands are gold accent and the dial was a darker shake. The 50th Anniversary logo is on the back of the watch inlayed into the movement....a co-axial movement.

The box has some very fun goodies!

I wish I could remember more, but that鈥檚 all I have!

Do you remember anything about the subdial? Full gold or just gold accents...?

LOL. You guys are relentless. OK, I give in馃檮. The info I have is seconds sub dial with gold details. I imagine it will probably be something similar in execution to the Apollo 17 45th gold edition Apollo patch figurehead detail, but now with the Apollo LM.

Co-axial movement...does that mean this will be 44.25mm and really thick? I hope not, I don鈥檛 have the wrist size for that... 馃檨

At least this thread stays amusing, i never knew there were so many Nervous Nellies. Stay focused and relax, planes are catching fire and crashing, the Middle East is again on high alert with rockets flying, and the usual mayhem continues to involve innocents. This watch is not important in the universe's time line. Speculative banter is fun but a lot of people are taking this way too seriously.

Indeed!
I've just returned from a visit to KL Auschwitz-Birkenau and I can tell you there's plenty to think of outside of the latest Speedy.

I know, people saying that they took back their deposits with out seeing the watch seems a little rushed. I hope that they don鈥檛 regret it when they see it and they can鈥檛 get it anymore.

My point was that I withdrew my deposit without waiting to see the piece because unless the watch has the 321 and a piece of the moon on it 馃榾, there is nothing Omega can release that will have me pay $15,820 CDN (taxes in, almost three times the price of the regular Speedie I bought) for a Speedmaster. So let me be the first to say a preemptive congratulations to those who are willing, who see the release, enjoy it, and buy it. I sincerely hope it brings you years of joy, but it isn't for me. I bought the regular Speedie, put over $10k CDN in my pocket and walked home. That doesn't mean I'm still not excited to see what's released 馃榾.

Thanks for that useless input
Nah, this is useless input:-

Ideal for those who prefer a nervous shuffle through the cold sands of time rather than making giant leaps for mankind.

Nothing that hasn't already been said but, my sales associate told me the following: 42mm, steel with some gold details (bezel, crown and pushers most likely), the movement will be the new in house magnetic resistant, manual in house. And most likely the new steel bracelet with the micro adjustment. No news on the color of the dial. Deposit to one is $5000 (completely refundable) and the retail price is $9600.

No gold crown, no gold pushers .... stainless steel. Bezel in Moonshine gold with Ceragold tachy insert, with some gold accents on the dial. Have not heard of any micro adjustment in the buckle, but more like the design of the all 18k gold version. Until pictures drop we know as much about this watch as we are going to know. Should be a week or less now. If something doesn't come out of this big 'insiders only' event at Cape Canaveral this week, the date I was given was May 15th for the big reveal. And I believe the window to be able to put down a deposit (in the USA at least) is now closed, all spoken for. And the OB I used in late March required FULL payment, plus tax, to lock one in. I just paid the AMEX bill last week, $10,446. 馃槻 It better be good.

Maybe we should keep an eye out on social media for pics of George Clooney's wrist, he would likely to be the first ambassador to sport one in public.

I am wondering how effective the "full deposit" requirement has been/will be to fend off the flippers!??! 馃槖

$10,000 for a Speedmaster with gold accents. What am I missing? I don't get it.
