Can you post a screen cap/picture? I'm not seeing it on their IG.
No actual photo of the watch I just saw at the end of the video that the “speedmaster” is gold in color. It might be a hint and it fits the celebration of apollo 11 moonlanding as well.

My economic sense hope the watch is not that great. Then I can buy a regular Speedy and save my cash. As @watcher1900 said: ...and I can always say I bought it the year of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing!
My watch collector sense hopes it looks really special and I will buy it as no. 1 on the Norwegian list...
It will be a hard decition. A couple of weeks more and I know what to do.

Good point about saying you bought it the year of the 50th anniversary even if it's not that particular watch. I bought a Speedy last week (my first one) and it arrived a few days ago. It's a custom Speedy based on a FOIS with hesalite and a few other things (vintage service parts) to make it into an Ed White. I'm much happier than anything with gold on it. 😀

Sorry that I didn’t read through all 34 pages but I noticed the tension about the timepiece being TT. I believe it has as much gold as the Apollo 17 45th but nothing more.

Like any unreleased product, I will withhold judgment until it’s released. And with Omega all of their stuff looks even better in person.

I've calmed and am more hopeful that it could be really cool -- I loved the Apollo 11 45th Anniversary, for instance, and that had gold accents. The price also makes me think it's going to have the 321, as I'd be surprised that they'd ask that much more (~$3k) over previous LEs if they weren't going to change something substantial.

Someone mentioned in this thread that the watch will come in a special lunar landing module box. If that‘s true that might be the reason for the hefty price.

I know, people saying that they took back their deposits with out seeing the watch seems a little rushed. I hope that they don’t regret it when they see it and they can’t get it anymore.

I think we'll need to see a picture please 😉

I only have crappy cell phone pics from my family as I'm out of town until July to see it in person so I was going to hold off starting a thread until then. I got it from Adam. It's the watch on the far left in this photo: https://www.instagram.com/p/BwjPyfQHWmO/

I don't like brown straps so Jean Rousseau is making me an identical spec'd one in black with butterfly deployant and my Omega Boutique ordered me a Trilogy Speedy bracelet yesterday, which will fit perfectly per Adam.

Sorry for the off topic discussion everyone. Back on topic. 😀

The two-tone that will always have my heart, 1986 LE (on the right). I'm a sucker for a panda dial. Sorry 50th!

I don't know how others feel about this, but my dislike of two-tone watches (mostly Rolex) is because of the bracelet, not the head. And from whatever hints Omega has dropped, I get the impression the bracelet will be stainless only.

My big disappointment with the 50th anniversary is that it won't have the reborn 321 movement in it.

The more I think about it, the more I'm encline to buy a regular Speedie as the 50th anniversary watch... But it's so close now I'm waiting to see what they're bringing out of the shadow...

I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of this logo soon.

In that logo, has someone chopped off his left hand to nab the watch?

I have the same idea as you. If the pictures Omega release in a few days doesn’t make me happy, I will probably head directly to my AD and buy a standard Speedy. The plan was to wait until July 20th to buy it, but my mind can’t rest without a Speedy for so long...
