Wonderful. How do you like the Gekota clasp?
I'm not familiar with it.
The Gekota clasp is excellent. Very secure, press button release that you can't physically overide plus a security flap. You can see the size of the locking stud , both buttons need to be prssed to release.
The pictures are of the brushed version.

A great concept, a rubber shark mesh! Love it. I know Breitling has them but was not aware that Omega did. I'd like to find one!

It is originally designed for the newer Ploprof so its not a straight forward fit to the older 166.077 case. If I remember its thicker than the case can fit so I thinned down the rubber a small amount where it fits to the case, but so far no issues with it. It does make for a very nice look and its fitted with the big Ploprof adjustable clasp which offsets the weight of the case, makes for a pretty hefty watch 馃榿

Thanks for the info. I don't own a Proplof but rather a 300M Diver GMT Chrono. Big. It has a 21mm lug width so hard to find rubber strap options.

It would be good if there was an alternative to the 22mm Breitling rubber mesh strap

It is a very good clasp. A stud is gripped by two jaws, controlled by two push buttons. There is also an overlocking flap that prevents the bracelet opening if the release buttons are accidentally pushed.

Omega mesh has a lovely suppleness and I like the seatbelt clasp. Here it is with an Omega Constellation 300Hz tuning fork Chronometer.

I no longer have the watch, (but I do miss the sword hands) but I still have the shark, and a milanese.

I recently tried a nato on my aqua terra, and I don鈥檛 like it, so I鈥檒l try a mesh next.

So I was kind of not super impressed with my AT on a nato, but I would wear one again if I had the grey/blue one. (Tried a grey/black bond, and a solid black and a solid grey)

Before this pic I had tried a Milanese mesh and it did look quite nice. (I鈥檒l switch to it next week)

I鈥檓 planning to give the shark a day or two, but I kind of get the feeling I鈥檓 wearing a 5k watch on a $30 bracelet.... ohh wait...

I
don鈥檛 think I ever tried my speedmaster date on any mesh types, but here is the pro on a Milanese...

Why don鈥檛 all watches have sword hands...

This photo does a nice job of highlighting the faceting on the mesh surface, which I think makes the Omega bracelet really stand out in comfort and quality-

Might be sacrilege to some but on a whim I took my OEM shark mesh off my SMP and put it on this Squale 50 Atmos and put the SMP on a NATO, and I think they both look better-

Thanks! Gonna try it for a while and see how I like them but for now I'm liking the change-
