Hi
Maybe you can help me with this question.
I have an Omega Seamaster ref. 2938 SC with cal. 284.
there are no numbers after :2938 (see picture)
I have googled for this specific number but only find 2938 and a number after it.
Can anyone tell me what this means?

That your was the first iteration, ie 2938-1. On most Omegas iteration number is just a curiosity. Only on the super collectable stuff like early Speedmasters does it truly matter. There 2915-1 is worth way more than 2915-3 for instance. Some popular models like the 2577 have up to 20 iterations. Often there is no discernible pattern as dial variation doesn't always follow iteration.

It can go higher than that:

Fair enough, I knew there were a lot, it was just a number I picked out from memory. I wonder what the model with the most is. The 2577 has to be a good candidate.
