It would be great if this was positioned in the same way as the Chronostop Geneve for the 68 Olympics - a fun, dynamic, entry into the world of Omega.

The £49.50 price tag would be welcome too 😉

US$4950...what's a decimal point or two between mates.😉

Not many on the OF showed much interest in the post below..but it does show that the entry-level 3-hand market with "in-house" movements is going to get very competitive...in 2017 we saw JLC with the Master Control sector dials and Omega with the Railmaster non-LE at the US$5K price point...

BM just launched a LVMH high tech calibre for less than US$3K.

I think Omega are going to have price these Olympic Seamasters at least at the US$5K price point.

Any thoughts?
The site is in Polish but this is a hot news about new, again, limited Seamaster collection. I personally do like it as it something fresh for the Seamaster line, however not all colour options are looking great.

I think they look very sharp IF they were not LEs and instead lower tier entry level Omegas

I like the yellow version the best. The blue and black look good in my opinion, too. I’d be very interested they didn’t have the Olympics logo on the dial. That kind of kills it for me.

Price is 5000CHF confirmed. It appears to be the ‘starting’ price of any Master Chronometer based Omega watch.

2032 of each colour, while it is a nice watch, at the price quoted I imagine a lot of these will still be gathering dust. If it was a grand cheaper I would probably put my order in today.

If they did follow the Dynamic or Chronostop model and offer them at less than £2K I would be tempted but I guess that wouldn't fit with Omega's insatiable desire to raise prices across the board. Every new release seems to ratchet up the price now.

Apparently they will also be available as a set, limited to 25!

I am sure that they will increase this number subject to demand.

Big thumbs up from me. Nice clean dial design. The price is a bit dear, but welcome to Omega circa 2018. If I had any kind of connection to the Olympics, one of these would be mine for sure.

I would love to see a non-LE version - the dial is stunning. Simple and elegant. As far as co-branded LE’s go, I’d put this just behind the Spectre LE.

Why make one watch with all five colors when you can make five with one color each and force collectors to buy the entire set. Shrewd move, Mr Omega.

I'd have rather seen these with a 2842-base movement priced at $2500 but it seems that segment of the market has been left to TAG

Unless I’m missing something in the Asain Market at those prices these will be around until 2032....

When it comes to Seamaster, I only like the Planet Ocean line, so this execution has 0 appeal to me. Aren't they overdoing the limited edition pieces or the definition of limited?

At this price, I have to agree with you, Bill.

Very cool. I think these will do well.

It was already clear from the latest Aqua Terra line (including the non-LE Railmaster) and the new Tresor for women that Omega is now moving firmly into the "fashion watch" space. It's probably not a bad strategy, as I think they could own it at the high-end. Swatch wants Omega to be very high-volume, and there are already more than enough classic/vintage brands in their portfolio.

My favorite recent offering from Omega is the Globemaster. Gorgeous piece of horology from them; I own the one with blue dial on bracelet. But the public at large certainly doesn't appreciate it, and then Omega themselves had to make matters worse by bringing out the disastrous annual calendar version as an encore...

One can see why a change in direction was needed.
