Omega Seamaster Deville Crown/Stem Issues

Hi all,

Recently acquired a Seamaster Deville with the 563 Caliber movement! Loving the watch but having some issues with the male female two piece stem. It is very finicky and if I pull it out more than 1 click the female stem wants to come out (a little to easily). I can set the time going backwards but not forward as the crown unscrews from the stem. Also, I cannot get the date function to move easily as a result of this. Two clicks out is near impossible without the whole stem coming out. Do I need to make the female clamp end a little tighter? Any suggestions?

First securing the crown to the stem itself would likely go a long way to helping the situation.

I believe the female end can be tightened but I’ve had a similar issue in the past on two occasions and both times I ended up having my watchmaker fit new make/female parts (I can’t recall if it was just one or both).
Re the crown itself, purple/low strength loctite should be used I believe.

Usually best to replace both...
