Esteemed members, Would just like a quick opinion on this if you would be so kind. I appreciate it's only one photo but that is all I have. My daughter's boyfriend has asked me my opinion as he is looking to buy his first piece. We have seen it as it's at a local auction house. Guide price £300-£350 incl fees.

My thoughts...
Polished case.
The case has been re-worked (badly) around the crown for clearance, so incorrect replacement crown.
Dial just looks too clean
Hands do not have Onyx inlays - should they?
'T' marker but obviously no Tritium? Swiss & Made too far apart.

Thanks in anticipation...

Obvious redial IMO, plus agree with your impressions.

Your posted thoughts plus what @Rochete added is all there is to say about this watch.

Still, it’s a nice looking and wearable watch and, IMHO, probably worth the quoted price, assuming it’s running well. Steel watches with steel indices are much more usable than gold ones. Good for work or weekend.

Agreed. As long as you buy it with the understanding of its limitations, and you are happy with the price, you can live with it.

Thanks to all.

My thoughts: I'd wait for something better. Limitations become more glaring the longer you live with a piece.

Yep, agree with the assessment. Wrong hands (too short, should have black inlay) and wrong crown, redialed, fairly polished...

Not bad looking, IMO, but far from being a collector's specimen.
