I saw this watch in an pawnbrokers window.....

or should i say @Tri-national-man saw a skywalker x-33 in a pawnbrokers window and posted a picture of said pawnbrokers window in this tread https://omegaforums.net/threads/why-the-speedmaster-x-33-matters.94178/page-2#post-1258070



i asked about the whereabouts of the window and made contact with them
Jo their "watch guy" sent me some images


and then he and i discussed a price and we haggled a bit, then out of the blue, joe tells me that its no longer available as "the big boss" had decided to put it in auction.
i was quite pissed off but thought it was one of those "just not meant to be" things


i pm'ed @Tri-national-man and told him about the fallen through sale

then a few months later i get a pm
"the big blue is still in the window.."

so i got back in touch with joe and we started to re negotiate the price and terms of sale
(I wanted him to send the watch directly to Simon Freese to sort the dented case and Chrono hand)
once we sorted it all out i bought the watch.




i'm very happy with it and even though i have wrists like a gorilla, it stands tall on the wrist



so thanks to @Tri-national-man for his help and for the OF brotherhood for once again feeding our passion for beautiful /unusual/exotic watches
