An introduction and some more pictures would help, but it's worth a few thousand.

    Hi Callaway.

Welcome aboard - hope you stay for longer than just this thread :)

Sorry to hear about your loss, hopefully your memories are good and plentiful. Was your father a diver or did any recreational diving?

    Hi Callaway,

First of all, so sorry for your loss. Your father had great taste and left you a tremendous watch, which will last another lifetime if you take good care of it.

Now, you probably don't know that there's been a discussion raging on this forum on what to do with folks who become a member to have us help identify and valuate a watch, and then vanish again. Some newer members like myself like the opportunity learn with these research projects, but other regulars are a bit annoyed by transient visitors.

As to the watch: I checked out this tread on watchuseek and was able to identify your watch in ~10 minutes. You can then enter the reference number on Chrono24 and the sales forum here to get an idea of dealer's (Chrono24) and private sale (OF) value.

Best of luck, and please let us know if you have additional specific questions!

Crazy that the pip snapped clean off without (much) damage to the bezel and insert.

Hi to you all. First i am here to stay. I have always been a big omega fan. I also have a speedmaster mark II and a new seamaster planet ocean 45,5 and some pocket watches. About the 300 can the ”pip” be fixed? And What year do you think it is and What ref number 2913-?

The pip can be fixed. Aldo can re-attach or re-create (if it's lost). Located in Italy.

Don't bother looking for a replacement bezel. They don't exist. If they do, you will have to race me to them. There are plenty of owners in need. ;)

It is a 2913-6. One sold here before.

Stick around. If you are into vintage watches, it's a great place.

Judging by the caseback, I think the OP watch is probably a 14755.

So you have a later 3rd generation 165014-63 with a 14755 dial and handset. I’ve have this configuration on my 165014-62. Congrats

So we have identified the model and now i need some advice how to handle the watch as follows.
    1. Should i take it to make a preventive service?
    2. IMPORTANT QUESTION About the missing "pip" what can it cost if Aldo should fix it?
3 . There are no omega sign on the clasp, is the bracelet a replica?
    4. Now when we know a little more about it what do you think the value are "as is"

What is other do´s and don't´s for a clock like this. How should i handle it from here
I have started to love this little beauty :)
