i don't think the dial is real, because the big triangle normally is biggen than the minute markers (on the base) also the sloppy name print also the ending of the open 6and9 looks off

I agree.
This dial is all wrong.

For comparison, here are 3 recent BTs I had (still have one).
The font is wrong and all the spacing is wrong.
If it is real, it has been refinished (rather badly).

I wouldn't buy this watch even with your money.

As you noticed, look at the six, which differ from one dial to the other. Each 6 and 9 are different. The curve and the thickness differ from one another, just in the three photos you post I can see obvious differences...😉

I have also seen dials with thin line numbers...

What I mean is that, depending on the reference you choose, you will draw a different conclusion..

I will tell you an example..I have a Carrera Heuer 3647 black dial which has a peculiar feature, it has a brass nickel caseback....very disturbing..until I read that Heuer made what is called a lower quality watch so they could be sold at a lower price..Now they are very pricey...
If I had listen the so called connaisseurs who would have told me that a true Heuer Carrera should have a steel caseback, I would have discard this watch as fake...

You're right. You should go ahead and buy the watch then. Solid investment. 👍

I'm pretty sure Heuer didn't make a 3647 Carrera with a nickel back. They did make 'budget'models that were similar but not marked Carrera.

if talking nonsense is making a point then i missed something

the archive will only tell if the movment was from a SM300 not mor or less .... and nothing about the rest of the watch ::rimshot::

For what? If you think you've got an original 3647 with base metal back then let's see some pics.

Who is talking nonsense?

The archive will tell when it was made, where it was delivered, which can be matched with the rest of watch.

Search harder...I will tell you this a Ed Heuer marking, case and movement. If you want to criticize, make your homework.

I'll tell you this - if you have a 3647 Carrera with a plated back, the back didn't start life on that watch.
I believe 3641(?) is the economy reference and it has no name on the dial.

@Davidt Don’t waste anymore of your time.
It’s obvious you’re talking to a brick wall.

@Sarandy Enjoy your all original SM300. 👍

Well I have a genuine serial number on my Heuer, which tells it's a Carrera alright. And this Carrera is all chrome and it's a Ed Heuer's.

I am just making points about the relativity of the word "original", which does not always fits into rigid frameworks.

You don't know how dials were made, how watches were assembled. You just know what you see.

Cheers.

That dial looks wrong. Did you read the thread you linked to earlier? No-one there seems to think that it's a good thing that Swiss Made is missing...

That's GREAT! With the Heuer prices we see at the moment, you should consign it to a major auction house immediately! Collectors will go nuts and pay a fortune for it!
