I was a little anxious since I had not seen one in the flesh. But, this is a stunning piece!

So, I just received mine yesterday. I just visited one of the local Boston ADs. They also just received one. PM me if you’re still on the hunt for a Seamaster 1948 Small Seconds.

That small seconds piece is a stunner for sure. Has inspired me this morning to strap on my old early 60s Seamaster DeVille -- but the watch envy does not diminish...

I will check when I get home! And thank you!

RE: Omega pen refill
I checked mine, it is the same as the Parker T--Ball Jotter, although the one supplied is marked "UMO Extra Class Refill 8-0888" & is made in Germany.
When replacing, if you use a generic or Parker refill, make sure you don't lose the small spring that is Friction-fit on the refill that comes with the pen. Some refills may come with a spring because the Parker pen also uses one.
Hopefully this is helpful.

Thanks for checking! I totally forgot to take it out of the box to check! 😀

The 1948 is a deserved tribute to an absolute icon - but so sad about the mess on the back, have to pass. (Is Omega quaking at my silent protest?)

My local AD had a central seconds on display today.

on closer inspection there a few scratches on the lugs.

the assistant said that it only came with the blue strap that was on the watch ( this also had some dents in it near the lugs) but I thought these came with additional straps??

Both the Central Seconds and the Small Seconds come with both the blue and the brown straps. The default strap on the Central Seconds is the blue while the default strap on the Small Seconds is the brown.

Reminds me of the Patek 565 Calatrava before they fully moved away form the 3,9,12 to full circle breguet numerals.

Classic design. This SM in underrated imo. I. too would have preferred a solid caseback, but view up looks stunning.

That’s what I was thinking. If I remember correctly they were asking just over £5k

Funny thing is, I never look at the back when its on my wrist! It is such a beautiful watch! 😉
