·It isn’t only the DJ that beats any aquaterra, Connie, or globemaster. My thesis is that aside for some small pockets of vintage models, Rolex wins across the board in every single category. Strictly speaking of design and aesthetics, there isn’t a single modern Omega I would take over a Rolex.
I like both brands and have Omega and Rolex, but I will say that if I could only have one watch it would be my DJ41, it simply wins in a straight comparison with any of it's direct competitors.

··Spam RiskThe fact remains that those empty Rolex cases must be profitable. I see them at a lot of Rolex dealers in places that cannot be cheap to lease, and one metric stores are judged on is sales per square foot.

What I find amusing is that people keep thinking that a purely subjective argument such as aesthetics can be "won", especially on a Internet 😉.
One of my colleagues at my main client who is "only" 32 furnishes her house like a geriatric but does so with pride. She listens to Sinatra and is very much an old soul. Do I find her furnishings ugly? Absolutely, but it's not my house so why should I care? I'm sure there are plenty of people who would try to convince her to change her aesthetic and convince her that it's "bad" but that says more about those people.

You realize this is just subjective opinion, right? If you or others want to provide some objective criteria to compare watches, then this thread might make some sense, but otherwise it's just trolling...

I think we need to conduct a scientific experiment testing the capacity of each brand. Somebody send me to identically aged dive watches, one from Rolex and one from Omega. I will wear them continuously for the next 42 years at which point I will publish my data and put an end to this debate once and for all.
