Is it thinner I thought it was mentioned to be thicker?

It's thinner, even with the domed crystal. I think the lug-to-lug is shorter as well but still have not received confirmation on that.

Hodinkee is saying it is 13.85mm, but Fratello is saying 14.4mm. I guess in general it is the same as the previous model at around 14mm roughly.

My impression from the write up is that the bezel is thinner and that explains the slight different in overall height. But we will see. I’m sure someone here will buy one and investigate swapping out bracelets — based on other threads, that’s the first think people do! 😀

I’m sorry, but Omega’s “modern” designs just keep reading as being 2-5 years behind the curve.

Blue dial themes, greyed-out tools/ceramics, and bronze-themed watches? Is it just me or were these already fads in 2019, and remotely forward-looking in 2016.

To say nothing yet of the sandwich dial...

The 300’s bracelet is the most exciting thing here, and that’s because it’s at least intentionally a throwback.

Wonder if that adjustable clasp will work on similar bracelets?

Agreed, they must find a way to bring down the thickness. Such an elegant looking watch cannot remain slab like on the wrist.
Sounds like most Tudor BB's

Can't wait to go hands-on with this. Don't love the crown so much, but otherwise this looks great. Love also that they're doing a 9k gold "bronze gold" version. I'm far less likely to pick that one up, but the above... it's going to be very hard to resist, I expect.

I agree! This look, this bracelet but with white Super Luminova and I would immediately buy one.
Looks really nice. Liking the dauphinois hand!

I hadn't realized this until just now... it's less expensive than the previous model! How'd that happen!?

Have I understood things correctly that the bezel insert is aluminum, and therefore will age and fade? If so, I love that.

Love the reduction in text on the dial, the lollipop, the bracelet taper looks very promising. The thing looks damn sexy in photos and videos... and I think I can come around to accepting the crown! 😉

It's aluminum, but purportedly treated in some special way - so, who knows what that 'specialness' translates to in terms of aging

Steep at $190USD, but man that looks nice ... three colors to choose from too!

The lumed numerals is cool but yea that aluminium worries me a bit. It’s not the aluminium but the paint that comes off unless it’s the anodising that’s some special process. I think I’d still like a Ploprof style sapphire or ceramic bezel more on it.
I agree, the sapphire bezel like on the Ploprof is very very nice, best of both worlds imo, lumed numerals but no fade.

Would've been nicer than the "special aluminium"

$190 is like the normal cost of an Omega NATO. I thought there would be a bigger upcharge with NASA being slapped on the strap too.

I just got off the phone with my local OB and he mentioned they'll be getting the official staff presentation about the releases tomorrow, and he's noted my question to ask the powers that be if the bezel insert will age or not.

OB Manager to staff: "So, are there any more questions about this new model?"

OB Salesperson: "Yes, uhm, I had a customer ask whether this new aluminum bezel will age or not?"

Manager: "Did the customer want it to age, or not want it to age?"

Salesperson: "I believe he wanted it to age."

Manager: "Then it will definitely age quite nicely."

Prior version was 15mm thick while the new one is just under 14mm. Omega needed to make it under 13mm.

If it’s under 14mm including the domed crystal then the case itself will be around 13mm which is very acceptable.

The Seamaster is pure ~1/2 gold and ~1/2 bronze, with some stabilizing smelt thrown in for fun.

it is the opposite in Europe (France), the old one is showing 6100 euros while the new one is 6400 euros.

Ya I suspect the same. Be curious to see a comparison of the previous model to the new. I’ve seen people claim 14.5-15 on the previous.

One thing to note, it appears the new model bracelet is using the clasp with only 3 micro adjustments, the previous model uses the 6 micro adjustment clasp.

That's odd, and when I asked, my local OB did confirm the MSRP price is accurate, at least for USD.
