Dear Forum,
I have an Omega Mark 2 Speedmaster cal. 861 in which the second hand (small sub dial) does not stop rotating when i pull out the crown to set the time. It will crawl slowly and stop when the crown is gently turned backwards and resume rotating when the crown is pushed forward without being pressed in. Could someone please tell me what disrepair this indicates?
Many thanks

The caliber 861 is not a hacking movement.

Heh you did not, and for non-hacking movements where the movement itself allows it, this is how we set the time more accurately. You might try to not make the movement run backwards too much, though. While the risk of damage is small, it wasn't designed to run backwards.
