Dear OmegaForums members,

First of all allow me to express my excitement to join the community. I have been occasionally reading the forum for a while now and since today I got my hands on my first Omega (my all time favourite) I decided to register.

I have purchased a one year old Seamaster 300 and I couldn't be happier but as a new and proud (and a bit inexperienced with own Omegas) owner I have a question or two and I was hoping someone can help me out with those.

1., So, when I unscrew the crown and pull into the 3rd position I have noticed that when I move the minute hand slightly backwards the seconds hand is also slightly moving backwards (up to one second earlier or so) but then it goes back right where it was. Is it something that should worry me? Its seems like that the wheels are still slightly engaging.

2., I suspect this one is a rather silly one but When I unscrew the crown it has a little pop to it. It is actually very firm and sounds like a manufactured, mechanical pop. I assume it is completely normal and its just to "separate" the screw-in position from the winding position so it can be wound without screwing the crown back. I am right with my assumption?

Thank you very much in advance!

I see nothing to be worried about.
