Omega Genève Dynamic bracelet

This Dynamic has been in my possession for some time now and this quirky watch is realy growing on me. I haven’t seen the racing dial variant alot. The blue second hand and the depth in the dial realy make ik a stunning watch to look at. Dial and case are in great condition:



My question is on the bracelet. I’m thinking of refinishing it or replacing it for a better one. Does any one know if it should be brushed or polished? And if it should be brushed, is it possible to do it by myself?

Aftermarket options are available online. If you wanted to refinish it yourself, the correct finishing is brushed afaik.

The bracelet is brushed, but from the pictures I see it does not look so bad..

You could refinish it yourself. Bergeon sells a buffing disk (pricey 80 bucks I do believe) watch your speed.
Don’t over heat it; you will not only burn you fingers but you run the risk of turning the SS a blue color.
Let it cool down, clean it in a sonic cleaner with your favorite liquid. Then light, very light polishing with your favorite compound on a cotton wheel or wool wheel (work with the grain of the steel) usually up, or down and do the bracelet clasp last (or hell, first if you want) and then clean it again in a sonic cleaner. Should be good as new. Be sure to undo the watch from the bracelet, under no circumstances mess with the case (buffing or polishing it. You will ruin the looks and value of the classic "radial adoucissage"
If this scares you, send it to Omega and they will refinish it for you for a few hundred bucks (400) last I was told. Shipping there and back with insurance. And about 6 weeks time.
But remember; as I like to say: you don’t really own it unless you can work on it yourself.
