I came across this piece and was wondering whether anyone might have more information on it . Any opinions on the dial authenticity would be of great help too! Unfortunately, the seller did not post any pictures of the movement.

Judging by the applied logo, dauphine hands and old-style crown, it looks like it could be from the late 1950s but I could be very wrong.

When I see that fake buckle**, I automatically default to redial as well

It's at least relumed, you can see white lume on the indices and hands, but other than that, to be honest, it seemed like an original gilt dial to me

I expect that the text isn’t actually gilt - would need more photos to know for sure. If original, it should be gilt. Relume doesn’t help - typically done with redialed watches. I also don’t recall ever seeing a Geneve with that lume placement.

My advice - stay away.

Dial looks to be printed, not gilt and the case is a horrible mess, almost looks like someone re-plated over severe pitting. It's a tarted up turd.

I'll bet the buckle is a fake as well.

Hard pass for this one.
