·This is less a cash grab, and more of an effort to protect the name... do an eBay search for 'omega' and you'll see everything from espresso machines to razors to vacuums. This is why they did the Aquaterra Cologne.
I don't think you can trademark the name Omega. I don't think anyone would associate the vacuum cleaner with the watch brand, but anyone could make sunglasses and label them Omega. That's something that people may associate. So it's best if Omega does it and registers it, and does it right (Tom Ford designs).
I think these will be "gifts" to customers and provided in lieu of discount...
Plus... I kind of like them...
