I'm talking about the OPs attitude that calling an OB is essentially too much hassle.

If we all did things my way there wouldn't be 100 posts a month that contain one or all of the below:

1: what's this old thing that I could have googled myself?

2: how much is this old thing worth that I could have googled myself?

3: where do I get this thing on the Omega website that says "call boutique for pricing"?

4: how much will this new thing cost from a boutique?

Expecting people to do their own research, rather than asking others to do it for them, isn't bizarre.

And abusing a resource just because you're not paying for it makes you an arsehole.
So this forum should be the last resort? This should be one final place to go for information when all other avenues are exhausted? Nonesense, this is a forum of Omega enthusiasts and experts so it's natural people come here for answers. Chastising a new member for asking a perfectly reasonable question is harsh. Maybe you want to be a Mod, and if you get your wish you can institute a policy of deleting duplicate threads, but until then let the forum owners make the decision. And a few lines of text is nothing compared to all the frivolous pics and gifs and whatnot that get posted.

It shouldn't be a last resort.

When the question falls into one of the catergories above, it should never be a resort at all.

Done your own research, hot dead ends, but actually tried to help yourself?

Awesome.

Did sweet FA, and want others to do stuff for you because you're too lazy?

Not awesome.

I know exactly what you mean Sir.That would be the " Daisy Cutter " the 2nd most powerful non nuclear bomb in the US Arsenal ( now 0bs0lete) first used in Nam' & 1st Gulf War & among the Top 25 most devastating bombs. I was always good in World History Sir[emoji41]

I don't like to contradict, but the Daisy Cutter (BLU-82) wasn't an incendiary device but a high explosive capacity low level air burst weapon.

It was designed so that blast overpressure would act as a wall of air that flattened most things within the blast radius.

Sometimes there were secondary incendiary effects, but the primary function was blast damage.

Here endeth your first lesson in Explosive Ordnance 101.

One of my friend bought the pilot ones. It's really not my style and would never wear that kind of sunglasses but I must admit the quality is very good. Made by luxotica I guess, Someoan can confirm?
No, the Omega eyewear are made by Marcolin

They're selling them in the boutiques... made by Luxotica... so you could buy RayBan's instead... and have a wider range of colour/size/lens specification, for a lower price, in a cooler package. 馃槈
I thought we had confirmation they are not luxotica.
Sorry for the double post

Omega eyewear are NOT made by Luxottica.

Interesting... so they make a lot of glasses for fashion brands: http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/marcolin-s-p-a-history/

I still think your money would be better spent with Rayban.

Or from Marcolins models, the Tom Ford sunglasses... go the full Bond. 馃槈
You can find more updated info here http://en.marcolin.com/group/timeline/

Anyway, I've never tried a pair of Omega sunglasses but I'm glad to hear they seem to have high quality. I think that a luxury brand like Omega needs high quality eyewear.

In the boutiques, they frankly look out of place... the same as the bottles of aftershave.

Well designed, laid out, constructed and lit environment for selling expensive shiny things - random stand of glasses on the sales counter.
