I wanted to get some opinion on the dial on this Omega Constellation 2648. I see a half circle around the minute markings at the 11 o' clock arrow to the five o' clock arrow. The "R" on Chronometre also looks a little off to me.
Has anyone seen this before? Was this a redial attempt gone sloppy?
I think I can see traces of same alignment line close to position of minute and seconds hand in second photo. The dial looks exceptionally clean for this age Watch and when I magnify image it has appearance of coat of paint over dial spotting. Crosshair lines look quite bold. And the font issue with the R. So I am suspicious of redial. Wait to see what the experts say….
Agreed, crosshairs jumped out to be as too bold. There is a trace line around the minute marks at the top but not bottom. The word Certified is wonky. The colour of dial is too white.
To experts on Constellations please, is printed (instead of applied) Omega wording correct?
To my novice believe (and it would not the first time I could be wrong) Omega wording on all Connie dials are applied.
Thank you for insights

The earliest constellations particularly models 2648 and 2652 were printed. The 2648s generally with a more oblong O than the marginally later 2652s. 2782s had both applied and printed.
the point of the star is off a little _ apparently it should be set dead straight according to desmond .t. also the first o and the g in omega dont look right to me.
Please compare the font and crosshair with very nice example of omega waffle 2648-1 with the serial number 13.2M from @sliceoftime_ , however it was sold since 2019.
