Hi all,

Hoping to get some insight into the size of the 2531.80

A friend and I both have this watch. However side by side their seemed to be a slight variation in case dimension with one being slightly larger than the other.

From my understanding they were always a 41mm.

Has anyone come across this before

Several options here. One is fake. One is not a 2531.50 but a later model using the 2500 coax movement, those are thicker. One is mid size. Err that's about it. There are in fact 3 case numbers used on 2531s but AFAIK they are dimensionally identical and are all in fact 41mm exc crown.

A photo would help a lot...

I don't have a photo unfortunately.

There is a very slight variation. Both watches were bought from reputable dealers though

A slight variation you mean something like less than 1mm, or something like 4.75mm?
(full size SMP were 41mm, mid size were 36.25mm tho the mid size was not named 2531.80)

Have you actually measured, or is this just "it looks smaller?" Slight differences in color and polish can create a visual illusion of different sizes even if things are identical.
