Will be tough for the next speedy to follow the GSOTM. Not to keen on white ceramic with white bezel speedy.

I really want them to re-issue the Gemini IV, panda, and meteorite using the 9300. However not in ceramic. In steel, this keep cost down.

Really think the need to address the PO thickness.

Yes... I think it would be cool...likely hand-wound using the Tresor movement (but SS not Precious metal)... slimmer...(a minus for me, a plus for many)

But if they bring the same Patina inspired dial and Markers... then it will be just more milking last years successes, and a potential bust creatively...

I am reserving judgement... I can't accept that they would just do another Ceramic speedmaster but in white... there has to be more to it...
They've given us an Astronaut's helmet, not a moon.... a helmet equipped for EVA... If we do see white ceramic... It may be a limited Gemini 50th anniversary model..
I am maintaining faith..

The helmet in the Omega pics definitely isn't Ed White's. Its not an Apollo A7L either, it only matches the Shuttle era MMU helmet with the top mount lighting. Only thing that lines up vaguely with 2015 is the challenger loss in January 1986.

ah, but it does resemble the helmet that George Clooney wore in 'Gravity'... what's more meaningful to a mass marketing ad?... Accuracy in historical representation, or sensationalism and recognition...many people actually buying the watch will have no idea who Ed White is, much less the people being teased by an advertising campaign..

As a Side note.... the Challenger special edition would be great.... they should make it a tie in with the Apple iWatch...😉

Honestly, I don't think people will recognize it as Clooney's either, Omega ambassador or not. I think to most folks, an astronaut's helmet is an astronaut's helmet. Another thing to consider is that not that many regular people are even seeing these teasers, just watch folks. With that said, I agree a panda re-issue would be freaking awesome.

Only thing with a Challenger LE, and I do honestly think they should make one, is it would need to be tastefully done and benefit the families of the crew or something to that effect, which wouldn't surprise me given how active Omega is in sponsoring various charitable events.

Well... Odds are we will see a retro inspired railmaster... That may look just like a sm300 with smooth bezel...

Yippee? Another non-date watch with fake patina!

I love the look of the Railmaster, owned the chronograph version for a time. And I think enough people have already commented on the patina aspect, so I'll not beat that dead horse. But I just can't get excited about the prospect of another new model trying to its hardest to look like a bigger version of something that crops up on eBay.

hmm.. not sure what to say. If white ceramic case, then also a white ceramic bezel?

The white face with white bezel speedy they made, but never released was probably one step above the LE with the coin head.

I guess we will see what they release on March 19th.
