Thanks for the great side-by-side, @Omegist...
Looks very close...the mid-case of the new one is slightly thicker, but it looks like the new crystal is flatter yielding nearly equivalent overall case thicknesses? Interesting how the coin edge is slightly different.
Do you have case thickness measurements for the two?

I'd love to read similar specifications sheet of Railmaster and Speedmaster LE as well.
What is the price quoted on this?
It's a great information for the watch. Thanks indeed.

The Seamaster and Railmaster are Co-Axial movements, and all their co-axial movements are 4 year warranty.

The Speedmaster is still using the Calibre 1861 movement, and has always been 2 year warranty.

The warranty applies will all the current production watches as well.

Slight correction, 4 year warranty is for coaxial AND silicon hairspring. The coax SMPc is a 3 year warranty.

I'm sure it's been discussed somewhere in the depths of this thread, but do you know why the bezel numbering is different between the two?

I believe some 2913 references (maybe the -1? Not certain) were fitted with countdown bezels rather than traditional dive bezels.

Question for Those who already have the new watches. Do they casebacks line up straight?

Another question....does the clasp have the micro adjustable feature (the new sliding version)?

Pun Pun
I look forward to hearing from you in evening about your day's experience with the Railmaster as I too have booked one for daily use.

After 8 hours

After 16 hours

The steel-on-steel look is better than I expected. The bracelet is a reversed PCL, is there a short code for brushed centers, polished outer links? Whatever, it catches sunlight nicely and doesn't seem to show finger prints too much.

It is however showing some initial desk-diver swirls, as expected. This is actually a relief because I can just wear it and enjoy it now, without fretting about the first ding. No chance of this becoming a safe queen.

...another question, was the bezel bi-directional on the original 300 model, hence it being the same on the current version?
