I want some live shots on these so bad... the renders are always nice but I want to see the Speedy's steel bezel. Wasn't always a fan of the shine....

But I have to say the Railmaster and Seamaster are a bit more impressive to me. I think I'm saying this since in a way they already did the Speedy before (just better execution this time).

And the number of pieces... a bit too much?

I'm pretty happy about the Speedytuesday 😁

I like the cyclops on my Kermit, it makes less sense on the SD I believe. Also, why take out the 40mm and put in a 43mm ? Maybe it didn't sell well.
But then again, it's OK next to the uglyness of the rainbow Yachtmaster. The moonphase Cellini though is very cool

That YT is like a hunchback. Right you are about the Cellini, though. That was the most attractive offering from Rolex, imo.

They nailed the smallest details....the "Y" Niaid winding crown, even the Omega logo in the center of the crystal👍...As I said before on other posts, this will be the first time in a VERY long time I'll be buying a watch new from the AD.
Will they leak at shallow depths just like the real Naiad crowns too? 😉

🤦🤮

Major +1 👎

The 75-80-85 thing on the bezel makes my eyes bug, erk. ::facepalm1::

For me the Railmaster is where it's at out if the three, if I had the money to buy one in addition to the ST that's what I'd get but just don't have any left over (or enough for the ST it's going on credit because I'm an idiot with poor impulse control).

Reversed (countdown) bezel was a feature on some of the original 2913s though I was of the impression it was the later subreferences that featured it while the -1 was a normal count-up bezel. Someone like @MSNWatch would know better, he's probably busy ordering his box of three at the moment.

-Another great detail is the bracelet link proportions and the surface. Notice that its the CENTER link that is brushed and the side links that are polished....just like in the original 1957 versions! Way to go!

-Also, notice that the broad arrow hand is slightly different from the one on the Seamaster 300 MC which has a bigger lumed area in the center of the arrow. These Triology reissues have a slightly thicker metal frame in line with the proportions of the originals from 1957. Nailed it!

-And they even stuck with straight seconds hand, opting for originality and simplicity over "fanciness" ie. the lumed seconds hand, like on the Seamaster 300 MC.

As far my gripe about no the manual wind in the Railmaster, perhaps they weren't able to achieve the 15K gauss anti-magnetic properties...?

Man, I was really leaning towards picking up a no-date pre-ceramic Sub this year, but now I'm not....Railmaster for sure....maybe the Seamaster down the road....they really did it nice!

Will these parts be interchangeable with the original watches?

What will this release do to vintage prices of the three models, anyone care to speculate?

In 1957, Omega introduced three watches for professional use: the Railmaster for scientists and engineers, the Seamaster 300 for divers and the Speedmaster for sports, race car drivers and engineers as well. Now, 60 years later, Omega felt the time was right to bring hommage to these watches. Let us introduce you to the 60th […]

I don't see anything that has made my wallet jump, but if you review some of the Basel 2017 highlights from the other watch companies, you will see how good the Trilogy is in comparison.

This is a very good question regarding part compatibility, these will be the ideal bracelets to have on your FOIS or CK2998 LE if they can be bought separately as they're likely 19mm fitnent and if so I want one for my 105.002.

Strangely enough, I use my 2254's bezel in the reverse format that it is intended. This watch will fit like a glove.

yeah, looks like they did away with the "sandwich" dial with recessed plots.

Wow the new racings cost more then the LE's!!!
Yea not a big surprise, the 9300 family watches were never cheap to begin with. They'd be a much bigger seller if they didn't have such a well loved and more affordable cousin. It also doesn't help them that the Speedmaster Racing line (7750 derived Cal 3330) is both really good and much cheaper not to mention being a more versatile size.

This is important!!! This is a good thing, because this is how the very first SM300 bezels were. With respect to diving, the intent of this early design was to keep track of your time under water from a countdown perspective - the bezel shows you time remaining, not time elapsed. From a watch perspective, I'm glad that Omega was faithful to the actual originals!!
