I am in between two minds... quite like the speedy (bin trilogy), but after checking with OB in Singapore, I'd need to fork out 50% -SG $5K upfront (Euro 3.3K), balance on delivery in June/July...I've bought plenty of watches, but never though AD (always grey market or second hand), or God forbid, a boutique! I am new to Omega as a brand but having seen how many countless speedy special editions they churn out every bloody year, what are the chances of these not being reissued a hundred times over for a normal price? Kind of stopping me from taking a plunge...

This is a strategy of Omega that separates it from Rolex which hardly does LE series. You just have to determine how much you like it and buy when you are ready. Personally, a 60th anniversary watch should be quite "safe" as most of the feedback are generally positive.

I.ordered the LE Seamaster at my OB. No deposit, just a reply: "Your wish is granted"

I was told that the original number of ~200 /557 Trilogy sets coming to the US was incorrect and closer to around 60

I'm guessing 557/(the # of OBs in existence) will give you a more accurate number of how many each OB will get.

I've been thinking about getting a new Speedmaster Pro for a while as a first and only great watch. Then these damn things come out and completely muddy the waters. I'm only getting one watch but can't decide which one it should be, the Pro or a Speedmaster 60th.

Better hurry up because the window of opportunity for the 60th is narrow, if not already closed. You can get a new Speedy Pro for half the price so missing out on this limited edition isn't that bad.

Speedy allocation at my OB is gone apparently. And he said people from China were calling asking about availability.

not sure what to think of the 60th anniversary models, by now there probably all pre sold !🙁 On the upside getting 50th Anniversary Sea dweller and a blue dial Sky Dweller 😀 and the sky dweller was not the one to look for at Basel but I am sure will be a hit cannot wait for mine £10600 for sky dweller white gold bezel stainless still 😉

For those who have ordered at OB, how long did it take for you to get email confirmation? Placed my deposit yesterday and still have not received any email confirmation from omega regarding my deposit. Emailed the person helping me with the transaction and have not heard anything back yet. Just trying to make sure my deposit would ensure delivery.

I got two separate emails. One confirming my order right after I got off the phone with them, then another the next day, right around the same time the charge went through on my credit card. That one confirmed that my watch was reserved. That was mostly because I ordered before they had the SKU set up in the system. You could always just call tomorrow to make sure. Has the charge posted on your account yet?

Charge still shows as pending so perhaps that is why. I will call tomorrow to check status.

First time dealing with OB directly so I wasn't sure what the protocol was. Sales associate stated they would enter me into the system right away, but maybe after the transaction has cleared?

Depends on where you are in the world, it seems - some locations ask for 10%, others are full payment. Go figure.

I ordered at an OB this afternoon and also thought it was a little weird not to get a confirmation before they closed.

(100% but fully refundable. So they say.)
