Got both the Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster 300 60th Anniversary (Speedy for 15% under RRP and Seamaster 300 for 30% under RRP). Both unworn.
Not sure why there are this rather high discounts on the watches; I like them a lot.

In Switzerland? My next modern Watch will be the Seamaster 300, it wears well and I like the look.

Hi,

sadly I had to switch to FOIS today, because of steam inside my 60th Anni ...
My Observation in general is this happens more offen with the cases that have
no crown guards / no protection of the pushers
😵‍💫

BR
Hans

Really sorry to see this and I think you are right about the no crown guards.........I've had two CK2998's that have had misting after minimal contact with water.

Nothing to do with it. If you’re getting moisture inside, it’s faulty. Happened to my trilogy Railmaster from a few measly raindrops. Omega fixed it. Faulty case tube. Now I can submerge it in water, swim in it, and it remains just fine.

There are some deals to be had on these models, I do think one day they will bounce back in value, particularly the speedy.

I like how it looks on the bracelet, how it is very comfortable, how it would have only been sold on the bracelet originally, but as soon as I put it on my wrist the magic disappears for some reason...
I know it sounds ridiculous but I always think the bracelet makes the watch look plasticky (and small) on the wrist
If you like it, power to you! I wish I would!

I find it perfect on a bond NATO (and I usually despise NATOs)... go figure

(edit: I need to clean the shutters in my office apparently 😁)

Just bought this Uncle Seiko BOR bracelet. I think it looks great on the 60th Seamaster.

Here’s my shot of these three awesome watches. I started with the Speedmaster and I was blown away with the size, the bracelet, everything. Then pulled the trigger for the Seamaster, which is even more beautiful IMHO. Mainly because of the decent size and the clear uncomplicated dial. And while I have had these two there was no other option than acquiring the Railmaster. I never had one but this one from the 1957 collection is so so beautiful.

I have to say, this collection is one of the best ever made by Omega. Obviously it’s just my personal point of view. Everyone’s different, everyone likes something slightly different. Which is absolutely fine. Actually it’s essential otherwise there would be nothing to discuss with everyone having the same taste 😀

Next step is to buy the three watch limited collection.

I was hoping to get the trilogy set but I never got the reasonable offer... Getting these three watches separately was much much cheaper. But they don’t come with LE number on the dial, nor the nice wood box. Anyway I’m happy and I enjoy it. ;-)

Hi,

I tried to find out something about the oval O for the first batch but the only things I found were ads @ c24 mentioning this. Hard to say if there is something like oval O. I can provide detailed pic of my dial. My LE number is 20X...

Surprised to see that the Seamaster 300 Trilogy is available for purchase ... I thought they were all sold out.

Before lockdown, the Seamaster and railmaster were available in many boutiques still. No speedies. So not surprised omega has them on the website.

Almost every OB/AD I have visited within the last year has had the SM300 and RM for sale. The Regent Street OB had all three when I was last there in February. I would have thought these were all long gone by now.

The three pack is still collecting dust at my AD and they have been sitting there since April 19 at least.

So much for the hype! 😁

When I was chatting with the Regent OB staff they said that Omega HQ released a few more Speedmasters to the world. Also, they had a few SM1948 models that they told me Omega HQ had sent them.

Not at all - they are terrific watches. Just maybe a little overpriced.

per earlier in this thread and my own thoughts. If the railmaster had been 4k the Seamaster 4.5 and the speedy 5 they’re would have been none left i am sure.

as it happens. The railmaster at today’s 5.3k in a boutique is a bloody hard sell unless you really like it.

£ by the way
