Well done. Looks more toolish for sure.

I'm doing the same to my SM300LE, mostly by banging into things a lot.
I was doing that too, but it was just taking too long!

And here's the new leather strap from Wrist Icons...perfect color match to the faux patina lume
I feel it's the most versatile watch among the trilogy set. It's perhaps the most accurate réédition of the set in original dimensions and with the most modern movement as it was then with the Railmaster.

If anyone is interested....it's here: https://www.wristicons.com/natural-tanned-vintage-watch-strap-81910704.html
Unfortunately, the leather is just a bit too thick to work with my newly arrived Omega-style depolyant clasp.

Thanks for the strap tip -- that's a great match for sure. I just picked up a shell cordovan strap from Ashland Leather for my Speedy Pro and was looking at a 19mm version for my Trilogy. Yours is closer to the Trilogy lume shade, though, and I may follow your lead here.

I finally decided to lightly brush finish my Trilogy Railmaster.
I love the straight lugs, but they were just to shiny.
I started with just the lug tops, but then did the bracelet side links and bezel (top and sides).

I think it's a subtle, but noticeable change. Less of a design change, but I think it just looks more "worn"

I think this looks bloody brilliant. I’ve been so close to buying a RM several times, but the high polish just always holds me back. This thought makes me want one again.

As you wish. This is the "Amarettos" IIRC -- have a wallet in the Natural cordovan which might be closer match to the Trilogy. Brilliant strap, though, with a really nice feel and should patina nicely.

Thanks. More to try! In the end, I ordered one from Veblenist, which was pretty good, but the horween leather strap from B&R bands is absolutely fantastic. Quality and comfort.

I didn't like the style but I found a No 8 color strap on eBay from a seller in Singapore, so we'll see how that comes out.

Sorry for the left field question - but would the seconds hand from the 8400 co-axial seamaster 300 fit onto the 1957 limited edition with the 8806?

Basically -can the '57 Seamaster be modded with Bond LE lollipop?

Now that the Ed White reissue has been announced... For those with the 60th Speedmasters, will you guys be looking to get the new 19mm bracelet that’s “much better executed” (according to Fratello)? Is it even possible to get it separately?

It’s not a straight swap, it has the extra ridge that the Buzz Butt bracelet has. I doubt it will sit right even if it can be made to fit.

The seconds hand from the 8400 300MC would probably be too long for the dial of the 57 Seamaster since the 57 has a smaller case size of 39mm compared to the 41mm case size of the 300MC.

should be able to get it separate like the Apollo 11. I'm also keen to see if the new bracelet fits

Also interested in an improved ED White bracelet, but I like the Trilogy bracelets, Main caveats are weight of clasp and too-short travel of the adjustment when compared to the actually useful one on my SMPmc -- although this may not be a problem for those with wrist sizes in the sweet spot of the bracelet.

I've tried wearing the 60th bracelet and find the lack of a taper and the large clasp annoying and the bracelet is quite heavy, after awhile I really notice it.

I tried on the Apollo 11 at my AD and it didn't feel nearly as heavy. Plus the taper looks so much better. I hope the EW reissue bracelet fits the 60th pieces. I'll buy one for sure if it does.

Honestly, if it tapers like the Apollo 50th and has a thin
Clasp like that then I’ll buy a railmaster again and stick it on. It would be perfect.

the non taper bracelet and bulky clasp ruined it for me.

Hi All,

New UK member here, really enjoying the forum!

After reading this great thread for a couple of years, I finally bought my SM300LE last week from my local AD. I’d tried it on in 2018 but only recently realised they still had it in (not sure they knew they still had it!). After a good chat, I managed to get #17 for a price I was comfortable with.

Must say it’s smaller than I’m used to wearing but feels just right. Have it on an Omega navy blue NATO which looks great!

Trying to resist an RM also in same AD...
