Can you show that curved end Tropic on the wrist? One of the alternatives I’m considering.

"Since intention was to wear" is a very good point. I plan on wearing them regularly, and this has been part of the calculation against getting the numbered set.

Where did you get that Tropic strap? That's a great combo on the Seamaster 300!

Uncle Seiko has them and 19mm in the stiffer plastic. I just ordered one. Also in a softer silicone.

I would have preferred the taper to 16mm but originals are hard to find. Even period fakes are expensive.

Unfortunately, I don't have any good supplier to recommend for the tropic strap. I've bought few in the past at watch trade fairs and continue to do so each time I have the opportunity.

Planning on switching out the bracelet for a tropic or shell strap that's been collecting dust since the Fall, but still loving this piece. Would love to have a Speedy 60th to pair with it.

Bulang & Sons have a nice variety of 19mm straps and last night I just purchased one from Wrist Icons. Both of these makers offer vintage style straps and each has a color that perfectly matches the faux patina of the Trilogy pieces. You can see my B&S on page 124. And I’ll post photos of my Wrist Icons when it arrives. I ruined the B&S strap after I tried to remove a stain...

Thanks. More to try! In the end, I ordered one from Veblenist, which was pretty good, but the horween leather strap from B&R bands is absolutely fantastic. Quality and comfort.

Previously on a cheap no-brand strap:

Now squeezed in a 20mm Martu:

And have just realized I took these pics on different days, but very similar timing (on the way to work!).

It's been nearly a year since receiving my Speedy 60th. Happy to report my initial positive impressions of April last year have only become more entrenched. Re. my only negative thought when using initially, I've found over time that the thick polished broad arrow hands are actually extremely legible, more legible than the moonwatch for me on average, so that has become a positive.

This has been my daily wear for several months now, must be the best Speedy for my wrist. Happy new year all.

Finally! Sacrifices had to be made but very much worth it! I also got to pay some bills while acquiring my very favourite Speedmaster! IMG_4346.JPG

I'm really liking the look of the worn bracelets. Mine are still very polished (well, from lack of wear). I have mine on a strap and have never looked back. But the last few pics on bracelet... looks good. In fact, better with some scuffs, if you ask me...

I finally decided to lightly brush finish my Trilogy Railmaster.
I love the straight lugs, but they were just to shiny.
I started with just the lug tops, but then did the bracelet side links and bezel (top and sides).

I think it's a subtle, but noticeable change. Less of a design change, but I think it just looks more "worn"

Well done. Looks more toolish for sure.

I'm doing the same to my SM300LE, mostly by banging into things a lot.
