Speedmasters on the secondary market are in the $6500 range this week, which is a cool thousand bucks under retail and not a bad value IMO
On Chrono24 they are still above retail so not sure where you are seeing that!

Hi everyone. I have the Railmaster and fancy trying it on a cordura strap. I was wondering if anybody has tried the 19mm omega cordura strap on any of tthe 60th anniversary models and if so what the fit is like?

The reference for the strap I am looking at is 98000315. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Just to follow up on the question I previously asked....

I don't have the Railmaster anymore but have replaced it with a Seamaster! I also bought the strap, which was easy to fit but doesn't quite fit snugly against the case. As a result it is able to rotate a little downwards and leaves a small visable gap between the strap and case.

This is easily rectified however. I simply cut a small piece of leather from the keeper of an old leather strap I have and placed it between the strap and case where the arrow is below. This results in a tight fit and no movement of the strap end. Result!

The cordura strap looks very nice on the Seamaster! For some reason I am thinking that I need a fabric strap,,,,

That strap looks amazing! I never stop being amazed by the strap combos for omegas. I have a client who ended up putting the snoopy leather strap on his ST1 and it looked great. Now I'm second guessing whether I want to take home the Seamaster or the Railmaster we have.

Damn. I feel like I've totally missed the boat. I took a year off from the watch forums to recover and when I come back I find out I've missed the 60th Anniversary Speedy LE. 🙁 I wish they would make this into a regular model... or at least make this bracelet available on the regular Speedy Pro (in the correct 20mm lug width).

My fav of the 3 is the Railmaster. I had the chance of playing with the original (Speedy and Seamaster too) at a Fratello event a little while ago. I also reviewed the Railmaster. All 3 are lovely pieces but this is still my preferred:

That does look good. I personally prefer the extra interest the bezel offers so snapped up a Seamaster version when it came up at a good price a while ago. I haven’t regretted it, but I see why an owner of the Railmaster has a lot to like.

The Railmaster is the pick of the bunch for me, the Seamaster is meh and the Speedy looks out of proportion with it's cramped dial.

Cramped? Do you feel that way about all Speedmasters? In what way is it any different to the others?

I know the Railmaster is not that difficult to find but if anyone is interested, there was one on display with its box and straps at The Exchange OB in London on Friday.

Perfectly proportioned in my eyes, and still out there to be found....

Isn't the dial on the 60th Speedy the exact same size as the Professional? I thought the watch was only smaller diameter because of the absence of the crown guards.

Yes quite. That was the point of my question to him above.

It's just my opinion. I ordered one when they first out,if wasn't for me and have looked at them again since and my view is that it's too small and the broadarrow hands don't help with the feeling that the dial is cramped and the watch is top heavy. 42mm has a much better balance imo.

agree with this, I put my $ on the Seamaster... Speedy would've be 2nd choice with Railmaster a distant 3rd... but all are lovely in their own right...
