I see the 60th LE speedy as a great addition augmented to vintage speedies for collectors. It's useable and replaceable compared to the original. Also 38.6mm is a great size. I personally will pick this over ST for the case dimensions.

As you can see, I'm partial to the original interpretation.
Hey, what's the Ref. of the second from the right? That would be my watch!

My one ding on the RM LE is that the WR is 60m. I'm an active swimmer, so I do prefer 100m WR (ideally with a screw down crown) on watches just for peace of mind.

For a limited edition that is focusing on faithfulness to the original I can forgive this omission, but just saying it would have been a nice to have 😀

I am curious - what difference should the 40m of WR make?

A watch with a 60m WR will be perfectly suited to swimming. If it should let in water, it would be due to a fault - that fault would be just as likely to happen on the 100m WR watch...

It is not 60m anyhow, it is 150m rated, the 60m is a typo. If you look at Omega's website the full name of the new LE RM is Aqua Terra 150m Railmaster etc. Why would it be the only AT with a lower WR?

I'm not as familiar with the 8806 movement. Does it have the "jump" hour hand feature like the 8400 of the Seamaster 300MC?

Trying to figure what "jump hour" means.
Does the watches equiped with this feature, have an especific position on the crown to set just the hour hand?

That TRILOGY script and LE number in the 557 LE is a real show stopper imho 🤮

Why!?!? ::facepalm1::

The "SWISS MADE" lettering on the 57' speedy is above the minute track and not below the minute track like the original 2915. Therefore not 100% the same as the original.
You mean seconds track.

Exactly. If the first position is screwed down and the second position is unscrewed (for winding), the third position is typically for datesetting. In the case of a jump-hour hand this position is typically used to jump the hand forward or backward by an hour instead of datesetting. (You set the date by jumping the hand forward or backward 24 clicks in this case.). The fourth and final position hacks the movement and allows time setting.

I believe your refer to the "other" new Railmaster:

(©WatchAdvisor)
I woke up 24 hours ago and saw this Railmaster and I was slightly relieved thinking"oh, that's ugly, well, I guess my money is safe", then I saw "the other one, the LE version"....oops....near sleepless night
