True - actually, I believe the rail and seamasters are the best value of the trio with the modern movement etc. The pricing of the speedy I think represents the popularity of that watch as opposed to any technical benefit. Of course, it is lovely however.

I do think that if they had priced up the railmaster at maybe £4,500 though it would have sold out. As things stand it’s more expensive than the Rolex explorer which I guess is it’s natural competitor, for all that I prefer the railmaster.

That said I have no quibbles with what I paid. The domed sapphire is worth the price of admission for me. And true, the 0% finance is a good incentive and equally why omega may feel able to increase their prices a little.

0% finance? I assume you are in the UK. Did Omega offer 0% in the UK?

Hello everyone.
I ma going to pick up my new
seamaster 1957 trilogy from my AD in Poland in 3 days. In my country prices for grey market are very high - for example seamaster costs 10000 us dollars and there are only 3 including mine😉

Yes. Many of the AD’s that stock omega do the 0%. Is a good incentive. Similarly some Rolex do, but generally not on the hot sport models.

I’ve just picked up my first Omega. It is beautiful and classy! In comparison with my Rolex i think is the same level...don’t hesitate - just buy one from The trilogy!

Taking delivery of #12; biggest surprise was the leather watch display pad on the underside of the box lid; very neat.
On my side, I have finally completed the other Trilogy set #12.

What do a mean by “the other Trilogy set #12“ ?😗

It is the one made by the 3 individual #12/3557. 😀

Congratulations! Did an OB order them for you requesting the same number, or did you track them down on your own?

An OB did order them for me under the strict condition to get the same number for all 3. Then, the specific number was a nice-to-have request, that Omega also managed to fulfill.

What bracelet do you have on your speedmaster and Railmaster? They look fantastic.

Interesting. I hadn’t noticed that each piece has a none Trilogy bracelet or strap until your post. The Railmaster one looks like a 020ST1125560 service bracelet. So what’s the story @Xtof, are you just protecting the OEM Trilogy bracelets, don’t like them or do you simply prefer the older looking types without the clunky extension clasp?

Well noticed.👍 That is what I like here, at OF : attention to details.
Indeed, I don’t like the massive bracelet of these reeditions. IMHO, they were their only weak point. So I put an original tropic on the Seamaster, a vintage Omega bracelet on the Speedmaster 😉, and a “new” 1125/617 on the Railmaster.

I wandered into an Omega boutique near work to have another look at the FOIS, but swiflty discovered that they have one 60th LE Speedmaster in stock because the individual who ordered it never showed! Is it a sign...?

I’ve put it on reserve for 7 days, and now need to make a decision!

Purchasing at retail seems a pretty good deal right now, but I don’t know how long they will hold that price.

What are people’s thoughts?

Definitely go for it instead of the FOIS

Congratulations on getting the #12! May I ask, where did you find the display box/case? It really sets off the collection. Very well done!

The leather display case was found at an OB as part of the Omega “Fine Leather” collection. They had cases for either 3 watches (perfect for the trilogy) or for 6 watches, and aslo a squared watch winder (available in brown or black)

I thank you! I’ve not seen these at my OB but I’m going to order one today.
