I've opened mine up once in a failed attempt to install a clear caseback so that i could preserve the limited edition engravings on the original caseback, it's an ordinary 1861 movement, nothing new

Hmm. Tried on the Le railmaster. At the start, least favourite. Decided I wanted a Seamaster. Tried both on and have fallen in love.......with the railmaster.

There is one at mrsp in my AD in the UK. Am tempted, but also tempted to ask for a discount as has been in the window for 3 months plus.

What do you think? If I’m being honest, I think I’d pay the whole lot to get the watch I want but would of course rather not....

Well, I bought it and am delighted. It’s absolutely stunning. While I like the speedy and sea master, this is my favourite for its sheer simplicity. I’ll try it on the strap later, but the bracelet is extremely comfy and a doddle to size with the adjustable clasp.

I’m glad I read this thread, as I’d never have been intrigued enough to try on and I’m so glad I did!

Yes, small however but at least something (5%). I’ve bought from that AD a few times and they know me well and are good to me so didn’t push too hard.

Hi together, yesterday I bought a Seamster Limited and I really like it.
But I have one question. The white outer box has a number on it in red. What is this number about? Should it actually match to the number of limited watch? Which number do your boxes show?

Congratulations. Let’s have some pics. I don’t have a number on my outer box. Maybe take a pic of that too and someone can help out. Cheers

I didn’t find a red number, but the white boxes do have numbers that look like this:-

The top one is from the Trilogy, the bottom from a Globemaster. I’m guessing that the number indicates the packaging type and this number is also mirrored on the plastic transport “coffin” so the dealer knows which outer packaging type to use.

The “0551” definitely is not the LE number or part of the watch/movement serial number.

Let’s see that red number.

Many thanks! And indeed it is golden. M apologies I had red in mind. Mine shows 0552, so you are right! Thanks for your quick help.

So 0551 = Railmaster, 0552= Seamaster. Now all we need is one of the Speedy owners to confirm 0553?

That crystal is killer.

And so is the rehaut. The RMLE's bezel, crystal and rehaut create a halo-like glow around the minimalist dial. I get mesmerized when looking at this watch.

The bezel is an absolute scratch magnet however. I’ve managed to get 2 tiny ones on it when changing the strap somehow. No biggie, but I am a bit OCD and have never had the polished bezel before.....

I am consoling myself with the fact that each scratch makes the watch look a bit more vintage! That said, I am loving it today.....
