Very nice strap!...the quality is evident on the photos...if I ever add the Seamaster 60LE to my humble collection, I will do the same as you: keep the Seamaster on the bracelet and keep the Railmaster on a vintage strap.

Very nice strap @munichblue! I would have it the other way around though. I'd keep the RMLE on the bracelet (watch perfection) and get a vintage rubber strap for the SM300LE.

Although I do love the new strap I catch myself constantly thinking about the bracelet.
This RMLE is definitely a monster of its own, it’s a beast…::love::

A beast indeed. I've had 3 straps for the RMLE and ended up going back to the bracelet. Appreciating the minimalist beauty of the RMLE under different lighting conditions and adjusting the bracelet's clasp several times in a day makes wearing the watch such an enjoyable and interactive experience. The RMLE is watch perfection.

Hope the strap maker in Romania starts stamping numbers on the patented Ken G LE straps. I'm thinking of getting one myself (No. 003 / 50?). :D :D :D

My understanding is that "Trilogy" is on the face of each piece. I don't see that on your photo. Am I misinformed?

Looks as though he did the smart thing and bought them all separately so you don't have "trilogy" marking on the dial.

You're saying there is more value in non-Trilogy pieces rather than the more rare pieces?

Well the numbered piece that isn't part of the 557 set should be engraved on the side of the watch. But yeah three pieces each to make 557 total sets or xxxx of 3557 those three pieces would surely have more value together I believe.

I'd personally prefer 3 non-set watches with the same number, and I think those will be reasonably rare. A set like that would also be easier to resell, especially if the watches end up in different conditions.

Yes perhaps, but nearly impossible to get matching numbers

No. I'm alluding to how much better the individual watches look because they don't have all that extra nonsense on the dial.

So that makes such a set even more exclusive.

One thing I don't think I've seen discussed here is the resale value of single trilogy watches. Assuming not every trilogy owner plans to keep all 3 pieces stored away in a safe somewhere, it's likely that some watches will be lost or at least damaged. Or that people eventually realise they really only like one or two of the models and want to make room for other purchases. How would the price of a single /557 watch compare to the /3557 version? This will be a fun little corner of the market to watch over the years (decades?) to come.

The RMLE, SM300LE and SM60LE individual pieces are part of the “Trilogy” collection. I won’t call any piece a “non-Trilogy” just because I bought only one.

The appropriate term for the 3 pieces that have numbers on the dial is “Trilogy Set.”

So, to make things less confusing, the question should be:

“You're saying there is more value in non-Trilogy Set individual pieces rather than the more rare Trilogy Set pieces?”
