I agree, that would be interesting. And even more, WHY they obviously used two different dial versions?
I think I would have liked a tapered bracelet and narrower clasp too as @DIV mentioned, however I suspect that less metal would unbalance the whole set up...the watch head is quite heavy and I guess the wider bracelet and clasp help to counter balance it. A better water resistance rating would be very welcome and I also thought a screw down crown would be a good solution initially. However, the Globemaster manages 100m without this feature so I think Omega could have bumped the rating up to 100m without it encroaching on Seamaster 300 territory or having to add the hassle of the screw down crown. Heck, I think that might be the only point on the entire RMLE that isn't spot on from my point of view. Does anyone know what specifically is different about the RMLE and Globemaster crown sealing systems to account for the difference in WR rating? Something I noticed while looking through the X-Ray video was this:- Is that a date disk lurking in there?
The pictures on this thread make me want to own one so much, I'd like to see some more pictures of the SM300, does anyone have them?
Here you go...not the best pics, as the protective plastic is still on...but beautiful nonetheless in my eye
Congratulations; is that the first Railmaster numbered Trilogy here? The lume looks a little lighter than the single LEs. Just a trick of the light or does someone have two to compare side by side?
Very nice. Congrats for being one of the first receiving your Triolgy sets. The Trilogy wording and number works for me.
I dont understand what you mean!? Could you please explain? The pic is made with a filter that makes the dial look darker. And the lume is green cause I held a light on it before I made the pic. Thx for some more info
Your dial looks like that of @Toishome's Speedy, meaning the "OMEGA Speedmaster" is a second generation font. Please read my posts on page #135 and 136.
Good spot! Does anyone else have this 2nd dial variation? The P in the word speedmaster is slightly longer and the G in omega is more open. I've got 2 of them and they both have the regular font, the limited edition numbers of mine are in the 400's and 500's.
Yours has the regular dial. The second variation is shown in @joerg pic. Maybe he could post a close up of the font on his dial... Here is his pic again.
I must have the normal variant, it is going to become like Rolex, which will be worth more than other jijiji
I just LOVE that I can ignore listings like this with a chuckle... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-2914...759032?hash=item25e64f7d38:g:r9oAAOSwNkJaHPgnPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I don't own a CK 2915-1, but the "2nd generation" font looks more like the font on the original 2915-1 dials in the photos that I have seen. Am I confusing them?
The "2nd generation" font ist the second generation font. The first was different, but there were 2915"-1" with the second version dial as well. Here is the font of my own counterpart to the LE... It's a CK 2915-1. Interesting, that "OMEGA" and "Speedmaster" are not symmetrically positioned and the whole font is closer to the logo. Some of these nice little details...
