@nerdbedusa Wow, lucky man! Could you share some more pictures of your watch? 😀

Will try to do so soon. 😀

For the moment, I've just another closeup of the dial with some dust on the crystal...

Everybody here may judge by himself, what they did right with (the dial and hands of) the Speedy LE and what doesn't match the original watch.

Just checked with my friend who also purchased the 60th Speedy about two months after I acquired mine. I have the normal 2915-1 font with the traditional writing (short "p", short "r"), while his is the second variation (long "p" and long-tailed "r"). mine is #5xx while his is #21xx. Very weird...

The Seamaster uses the co-axial movement, right? Any long term service concerns over that?

For those in the NY area, I have a contact in the White Plains Omega Boutique who has access to all three of the trilogy watches in stock as of this afternoon, if you'd like me to get you in touch with her - just PM me.

Met the trilogy in person for the first time this Saturday, and bought the Seamaster. All three are amazing watches but I think the Seamaster 300 is hands down the best new watch of 2017.

Thank you! Very good picture. It's a second version dial, no doubt.

Coming back to the earlier posts, I believe that this is a rare dial (that might possibly raise the value of the watch) and I still don't understand what they did there in Bienne.

Maybe the Speedy 60th LE with the 2nd version dial will be much more attractive in the future? Let's say in 60 years?

Don't know if I'm still that sure that I like the fact that my #1175 came with the regular dial...🙁 😜

Taking delivery of #12; biggest surprise was the leather watch display pad on the underside of the box lid; very neat.

While still waiting for the RM and the SM, I asked my friendly dealer to send a picture of my #1175 Speedy.

Fortunately it's correct.

I would never have expected they'd do again what they did 60 years ago. Mix and match should be a part of history, not of the present...

Just checked mine...number 906 seems to have the normal dial right ?
Cheers

Here's my contribution to this poll. My number is 04xx and it has the regular font, which I think looks nicer. 😜

I fully agree concerning the font. It's not only nicer, but even more correct.

They should have waited with the second version dial - for the 61th or 62th Anniversary Limited Edition.

Mines in the serial no. 300 range, also a regular

I'm convinced they (SINGER) used the original vintage tools to print this font...

I personally think it matters not a single jot which of these supposedly different dial fonts you have. This sort of thing matters on a watch from 40 years ago if it can be used to detect a redial or fake. The 60th Anni reissue is not a direct copy of any earlier watch. If it were it would use a different movement (the 321), different lume material (tritium), plain caseback engraving etc etc so whether they choose to build them with a slight variation in dial due presumably to 2 suppliers or whatever isn't a biggie in the grand scheme of things to my mind.
