The railmaster was in the window at the Trafford centre OB today.

I was going to try it on, until I got 'the look' from the other half. It was strange really as she was happy for me to try on a pre-owned Seamaster tri-colour in the Goldsmiths opposite just before that.
Obviously she didn’t try hard enough! 😁

Great price! I paid more than that in Hamburg. Nicely presented too.

Last week I got a call to say there was a Speedmaster 60th available for me if I wanted it. The store was incredibly friendly and more than happy to put it away until the weekend for me, even though there was a waiting list.

I got to the store on Saturday and I have to say, it's a long, long time since a watch has impressed me so much after a long wait. Normally the thrill of the chase is the most interesting part of the purchase process, and I'm quickly disappointed with the watch in the end.

Not this time! Wow! I never expected to like it so much. The polished areas of the case give it such character, and the bracelet is easily one of the most comfortable I've ever worn. This is in contrast to the Seamaster 60th may I add. I sold that on at the price I paid to a member of another forum as it just didn't do anything for me at all, sorry. I loved my Spectre SM300 but not the 60th. The Speedy is a keeper though!

The size is absolutely perfect! This and the TinTin are now my favourite Speedmasters without a doubt.

I would really like to see a profile shot to compare how Omega have done the crystals on the Speedmaster vs Railmaster....any chance?

Cheers

The strap pictures showed on the B&S website seem too bright, compared with the true product.
It’s more beautiful on the DIV wrist, thanks for sharing.
I will buy the same one for SM 60th LE soon~ 😀

I like the tan ostrich strap a friend of mine is wearing 😀

Gorgeous. How could the general public have overlooked this masterpiece for 60 years? Have we been tricked into believing that divewatches and chronos look better on the wrist?

Obviously we’ve been but it’s time to strike back and the rebirth of the RM with its Limited Edition is the perfect opportunity to bring more variation into the world of Omega watches.

Yes, I thought it was too light as well, that's why I went with the Caramel brown initially which was slightly darker.
Here's the link to the vintage-style straps in 19mm: https://shop.bulangandsons.com/watch-straps.html?cat=60&le_collection=7&lug_width=59

My dealers got my watch he's going to ship it Tuesday because I'm not around tomorrow. He's sending the watch only doesn't have the box yet. Did this happen to anyone else?

This has happened before on delivery of the anniversary pieces, a number have mentioned this back in the thread, so don’t be concerned. One chap was lucky enough to be given his in an Omega wooden box with the LE box to follow. Mine had box, but didn’t have it’s limited edition numbered booklet which I thought was odd. It was posted out to me a few days later by the AD. Don’t forget to share a photo or two when you get it.

Yeah watches are frequently shipped without the heavy box and accessories because it's cheaper to ship expedited. Non valuable heavy stuff can be sent slower freight.
