I presume you are speaking uniquely about the US?

Could be only US perhaps, but the seller whose prices I maintain are... optimistic... is based in the US as well.

We call this a “joke” where I am from. Kidding. Humor. I’ll be much more serious in the future. Sorry.

We really need a joke/sarcasm font. It didn’t translate to text as you meant it to. I know you are fun and funny but for some reason it didn’t read it like that. Still friends?

I picked up number 248 from London yesterday. It took me time to get used to it as it is a bit more understated than a modern speedmaster professional - I have never handled a vintage speedmaster. But its subtle approach and inherent quality has really grown on me.....so very happy.

Hi. Was this from London OB?

Hey @abrod520 are you referring specifically to Rail/Sea-masters? Seems The Speedys are selling for ~1500 above retail + tax and most chrono24 listings are >10k?

Yep in the screenshot of the dealer's website I shared, he has a listing for a Seamaster and a Railmaster. No Speedmaster

I suppose I could have used a little emoticon to convey lightheartedness...but as a gentleman of a certain age, I can barely make out a wink from a grimace on those tiny things!

Hi. Was this from London OB?
Yes Omega Westfield White City.

They won't take a deposit but just circulate an email whenever they get one of the trilogy in. I was the first person to ring them after they sent out the speedmaster email.

They may well get others so probably worth trying to add yourself to the list if someone near London is interested

is that the supplied strap?

It's a custom strap pretending to be OEM (an Omega NOS buckle will arrive in 2 weeks). 😉

Just been trying to get a few decent shots of my new Seamaster, but despite its good looks, it's quite difficult to take a good shot of, unlike my Speedmaster Pro, which looks great in any photograph.

I was just in CH Premier in Santa Clara, CA and they have a Railmaster and Seamaster on display. Just an FYI.

Luck was on my side on this round. I put in a request with 2 AD's in Minneapolis and one got me the SM and the other got me the Speedy! 2189 and 2168 respectively. I actually texted one of my AD's while he was at Baselworld and asked him to put me down for the SM. It was a long wait on this one, but not as long as my wait on the CK2998.
The RM is clean and gorgeous, but just didn't speak to me. And, while the Trilogy would have been sweet, the price tag was a bit much given I didn't want the RM. In my opinion, Omega did an amazing job on all of these. I am a little wary of the faux patina, but new lume won't age the same way over time and to get the true vintage look, you have to go beige on purpose. At the end of the day, it's just another color!
Awesome forum, BTW! New member here.

The OB in Hong Kong on Nathan Road told me yesterday that they are able to take reservations again for RMs and SMs. They said there’d be a delivery delay of at least one month.

Also, here's a comparison to the SM that was released along with the 007 LE.
This is the reason why I didn’t go for the SM LE, I consider it too similar to my SM 300. But I’m more than happy with the Railmaster. 😁
