Omega 176.007 crystal and inner bezel question

I looked all over the net and I can’t find a definite answer so please only answer if you’ve done this and if you haven’t or don't know for sure please resist to type anything.

I want to replace the inner bezel on my omega 176.007 and my crystal is still good. I have no idea if it is a crystal/bezel combination or a separate crystal and separate bezel. I’ve seen bezels and crystals sold separately and sold as one. Can you remove a bezel in a bezel lens combo?

I have a NOS crystal at home. I can check later. Like you say, there are people who claim that they think they could separate them. I've never seen it, and certainly Omega never separated them. But if it helps, I can guesstimate how hard it would be to separate them.

Erich this is what I was trying to avoid. Forums are filled with people asking questions and then jam packed with people not directly answering the question so no one can find the correct answer to the question. Your response and link have no info pertaining to my query and you’ve just done what I had asked people not to do.

That would be great. Thank you. I simply am unable to check but I’ve bought a new bezel and I wanted to reuse my crystal because it’s still in good shape. My thoughts are it’s just slightly pressure fitted into the crystal.

I mean... you get what you pay for, so...

AND, if you'd paid attention you'd have realized not only do I have the part to mess with, I have a part that is almost guaranteed to not be installed in anything, so I'd be willing to do destructive tests/try harder than others.

I'll note that I DID do the above experimentation and have the answer, but you decided to be a jerk about it, I hope @Porteroso will help you, because I'm not particularly well inclined to.

If you’re seeing what you perceive as ‘morons’ everywhere and people wasting your time, yet you’re the common denominator, have you considered perhaps the issue isn’t with them?

Because despite having the parts, it took me 45 mins+ (and in the middle I stopped for lunch) to get the parts out of storage. I came back after lunch, figured out the answer for you, and by the time I pulled up this thread, you'd already responded like a jerk. So, good luck!

It's a bit confusing when you refer to the chapter ring as a bezel.
Some crystals have the chapter ring embossed on the underside of the crystal. Some don't.
This is an example of a separate chapter ring for a 176.0007.

My example has a separate chapter ring. The crystal is pressed into the case and secured by a plastic retaining seal.

None of the 176.007 crystals are engraved from the bottom, that’s more like the 145.014. The tachy is also called an inner bezel or rehaut. Again you missed the entire question so back to you David, people in forums can help themselves but to ignore the question and type stupidity. I give up.
