··Ash @ ΩFA bit of an old picture, so definitely pre-Claude, but entirely possible stack-overflow was open! I now use 3 monitors and full-time linux, so the 1 monitor+ windows is a bit shameful, but the cat isn't allowed in my new office.

·It's a bit confusing when you refer to the chapter ring as a bezel.
Some crystals have the chapter ring embossed on the underside of the crystal. Some don't.
This is an example of a separate chapter ring for a 176.0007.
My example has a separate chapter ring. The crystal is pressed into the case and secured by a plastic retaining seal.

·Curious if the chapter ring is installed when the crystal gets pressed in? Could the chapter ring be swapped without removing the crystal?
If this is like the other crystals with these sorts of things I have done, no. The ring sits on the inside of the crystal, but is squeezed against a ledge. So crystal has to come off.
