Omega 1250 / 1260 movement

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to check if anyone knows if I could use the 1260 (day/date) movement interchangably with the 1205 (date)

Basically the 1250 in a constellation is not running, and I had opportunity to purchase a 1260 at a resonable price, would the day wheel be an issue?

Any help appreciated.

1250 and 1260 date wheels are different and not interchangeable. The best is to get hold of a metal datewheel. You can find them on eBay from time to time

Thanks i will absolutely buy a few of those wheels, i guess rephrase my question. could i just put a 1250 watch face on a 1260 movement? or will the date not line up? or will there be any other problems?

The date disk is in the same position so it will line up just fine:

But, the 1260 / 9164 is 0.7 mm thicker on the dial side of the stem so it won't fit the case. The oscillator module is the same and interchangeble. So a quick fix is to just transplant the module.

brilliant! thank you for sharing your knowledge on this, i just need to find the right watch maker to do it, i am a amateur and from what i heard these movements are highly fragile to work on
